Alignment Tool
Using the 650nm diode laser built into the spectrograph to level the beam backwards throughout the device.
The plexiglass tool has a small hole drilled 61mm from the base. When the beam is level, it will pass
cleanly through the hole, otherwise the beam will hit the plexiglass (which will then glow brightly).
Thorlabs sells black targets (and fluorescent targets for IR sources).
I still haven't figured out why the peaks get asymmetrical, all on the same side.
I thought it was due to the slit being misaligned with the CCD binning but have
not proven it yet...
I'm also still having difficulty moving a strong signal from the microscope
into the spectrograph. I'm missing something...
