CCD timing


The Hamamatsu C7041 documentation shows the START signal triggering an integration (exposure + readout)
ending with an END-OF-SCAN signal:

I don't remember why I did it this way. Maybe because the Hamamatsu timing shown
above doesn't explain how determine when the readout should begin (exposure time
is not a setting on the head).

Probably because of this: 
An older Hamamatsu manual (Image Sensors Development Kit Instruction Manual, March 2002) 
shows a START signal appearing to initiate a readout after some kind of delay (vertical binning?) 
during which the shutter is closed and following the readout is an exposure:

   S7031-906S  (sans integration time): 
     line-binning mode:
	minium binning+readout time: 1303us
     area mode:
        minimum frame readout: 35ms 
        (~28.5Hz sounds suitably fast for slit alignment)
